prompt shoot peer review

Reagan Friedman: http://reagansphotoblog.blogspot.com

My favorite photo of Reagan's would be her "the end" picture, and it's not just because she took a picture of The Perks. I like the tilted angle and her overall idea for taking a picture of the end of a book.

My lease favorite is the "eight" picture. I think the photo is nicely taken, it's just hard to see what I'm supposed to be looking at.

Reagan's pictures are really well thought out and nicely taken. She experiments a lot with angles which is really cool and makes for a more interesting photo.

One thing to work on would be to make sure your subject is more obvious. She did a good job of this in the majority of them, and it was hard for me to find something for her to improve on cause i think she did a nice job on this shoot overall.

I think "pose" and "the end" were portrayed the best form my perspective.

I think "eight" was the least successfully portrayed from my perspective.

  1. 10 Photography resolutions for the new year
Link: http://petapixel.com/2014/12/31/10-photography-resolutions-new-year/

On the website i looked at 10 different new years resolutions photographers can use to shoot or make their pictures better. Included things like taking more pictures of loved ones and staying organized.

I learned that you should find someone other than your family to give you feedback.

a. I picked this photo because i thought it was really cool and the blurred out sparks add a pretty element to it.
b. The sparks are sort of repetition and they provide some balance, and behind them is a plain background which adds simplicity.
c. Jenna Martin (?)

On this website i found six different ways to make my photos more interesting, and little tricks that are great to know. Basically, things most photographers should know how to do.

2014 reflection

Photo's of the Year

I'm not exactly sure why this is my favorite photo, but something just drew me to it. I think it's the fact that the girl is making direct eye contact with the camera adding in her state of appearance which is what makes it such a powerful photo.

This photo is really pretty which is pretty much the reason why i chose it. The colors all work well together and i like how they are reflecting off of the water, and how there is a person standing smack-dab in the middle of this explosion(?).

This photo is really powerful. The photographer captured the moment perfectly and I love everything about this photo from the silhouette of the person to the flames erupting in the background.

 1. best song of 2014

    Drown-Bring Me The Horizon

The best song of the year in my opinion was Drown by Bring Me the Horizon. You sort of have to be into this type of music to thoroughly enjoy the song. It's really emotionally deep and it's lyrically heavy, but i think it's amazing.

2. best movie of 2014

The Maze Runner

The best movie of 2014 was the maze runner. Although it was a lot different from the book, it still worked really well. The casting was also really great, and the costumes, makeup, and setting aspects were also portrayed nicely. Overall i was very happy with how the movie itself turned out. I also sort of like it more than the book.

3. most important news story

Ellen breaking twitter

Though it's not really important so much as it is cool, but i think when Ellen broke twitter by posting a selfie at the oscars was pretty awesome. Especially sense the entire world could participate in this. It was also really funny because she broke a world record for the most retweets by just posting a selfie, along with causing the entire website to crash.

4. most important person

Jennifer Lawrence

Besides the fact of Jennifer Lawrence being insanely awesome, she's also just an overall good person. She's an amazing actor with a super cool personality. There's no way that you can't love her.

5. sports entertainment person

Dustin Pedroia

Dustin Pedroia is just super awesome and will always be my favorite sports erson since Jacobe Ellsbury switched over to the Yankees. Pedroia is the second basemen for the Boston Red Sox. Not only is he a great player, but he's also a great person.

my winter break

1. For Christmas i received a record player which was insane. Music is my entire life and i love being able to listen to it on vinyl now.

2. My resolutions are to be an overall better person.

3. I'm looking forward to learning how to drive and then getting my license in november.
