portfolio analysis- how judges pick winning portfolios and sports photos

1. runner up video 1
a. Alyssa Schukar
b. stories, darker topics
c. pictures had a certain distance to them, not personal enough, not feeling the lover the pain in any of the pictures
d. the picture of the guy in the caribbean sweeping the streets, and the picture of the girl who fell over the hurdles 
e. i though the pictures were okay. i liked the caribbean picture but everything else was lacking emotion and feeling for me.

runner up video 2
a. Travis Haughton
b. sad/family love, sports
c. picture with the back of someone's head dominating are off-putting, didn't like pictures of signs, with the head of the snake was there, the quality
d. the moment of the first picture, the reactions were nice
e. i thought the story photos were nice, but everything else was okay. i wish the quality was better

runner up video 3
a. Sam Adams
b. moody
c. needs better angles, needs more action, get closer
d. they thought the second photo was kinda cool, the silhouettes
e. i thought a to of the photos were pretty col, i liked all of the silhouettes. it just lacked action and some of them were too far away

2. winning portfolio (Dustin Snipes)
a. the angles, reactions, photo compositions, good moments
b. his strengths were getting up close and personal with the majority of his subjects,  his creativity was present through many of his photos, and his composition skills were very well carried out, it was obvious he had experience. weaknesses would be to just make sure he wasn't over doing anything.

3. contest recap video
a. the urges looked through all of the portfolios and not only the individual photos, but the stories as well and the composition and creativity of the photos.
