Upon running into the church he finds the bride marrying anther man.

who: the dude driving the car
what: trying to get to the church before the wedding starts
where: in a car going to the church
when: before the wedding starts on a rainy day
why:  he loves her and doesn't wan't her to marry the other dude
how: speeds but keeps getting held up

man in the car is driving on a winding road in rainy weather.
bridesmaids are fluffing and fixing the brides dress before the wedding starts.
he's speeding through a street with trees on either side
the father sits and watches his daughter get ready in the final moments before she becomes a married women
the girl fiddles with her ring, gazing out the window
the man glances at his watch in a panic
the father checks his watch subtly and calmly
the man gets held up behind with a car that has a trailer and is forced to slow down
the girl holds both hands with her father as he speaks to her
the man speeds up and passes the car he was behind
the father looks behind himself conspicuously
the man drives across a bridge and then on another winding road
the bride looks out the window again
the man is forced to stop at a railroad crossing and is stuck waiting for the train to pass
he screams in agony and frustration
the father closes the door
the man pulls up outside the church and sprints around the front of his car and up the stairs into the chapel
the bride is standing at the alter with another man
dude is stunned
guy she's marrying turns to look at the distressed other man then looks at his soon to be wife
she looks at driving dude and sighs

A car is driving down a winding road on a wet and rainy day. Meanwhile, a woman is preparing for her wedding day. The man in the car is now speeding across a street with trees on either side, as the father of the bride sits and waits as his daughter gets ready in the final moments before she is pronounced a married women. Gazing out the window, the bride fiddles with her ring-- where is he? The man takes his eyes off the road to briefly glance at his watch at the same time the father looks at his subtly and calmly. It's almost time. As his speed increases, the man is suddenly force to slow down after coming up behind another car with a trailer attached. The bride holds both of her fathers hands in hers. With his foot on the gas, the man speeds up and passes the car he was trailing behind. Glancing over his shoulder, the father looks around conspicuously. water surrounds him on either side as the man travels across a bridge, soon ending up on another winding road. The bride peers out the window one last time-- he's nowhere to be found. His foot is on the break when he is forced to stop at a railroad crossing. Screams of agony and frustration leave his lips as he's waiting for the train to pass-- time is almost up. The father closes the door. The man pulls up outside the church, and sprints around the hood of his car, up the stairs, and into the chapel. But alas, the bride is standing at the altar with another man. He is stunned- this can't be happening. The man she's marrying turns to look at the distressed man who interrupted them and then at his soon to be wife. The bride turns to stare at the man who was too late and sighs.

final exam preview assignment

1. I read and watched the basics of iMovie and how to make a movie of my own. The clips or still mages you upload can be dragged and lined up in the timeline to create the movie. You may cut or split these clips, and you can even add in special effects to make your movie more interesting. It is also very easy to add a title at the beginning and end of your movie.
2. i already knew how to add clips to the timeline
3. i didn't know that you could add special effects
4. i'm concerned that my topic won't be interesting enough
5. i think that i'll be able to get my photos in on time depending on what day they are due.
6. i would either make it about going to a concert since i am seeing one of my favorite bands called All Time Low live on Wednesday, but i'm not sure if i'm allowed to take a camera inside. Or i would take pictures about becoming a Silver Star. I'm a rookie for next year and during the month of May we are going to be doing a lot of things to prepare for it such as a garage sale, ordering and receiving uniforms, new team practice, new team pictures, and a big sister/little sister reveal party.

student of the month story

who- Alissa Lopez
what- winner of student of the month
where- bowie high school
when- month of April
why- recognition for being a positive aspect and contributing to the school's environment
how- nominated/threatened the school

Freshman Alissa Lopez was recently named Bowie High School’s student of the month as a result of her so-called contribution to the school’s happiness.
During the interview, Lopez revealed that she might have threatened the school’s administration to earn her title.
“I’m aggressive, pushy, and a nagger. Overall, I’m a good person for student of the month, I can tell you that,” Lopez said.
Student of the Month is an outstanding privilege given to students who are involved around campus, and show great academic and leadership qualities.
“I was just elected Student of the Month because everyone loves me,” Lopez said.
But this isn’t Lopez’s first time winning Student of the Month; in fact it’s actually her 87th.
“Winning Student of the Month is a pretty normal thing for me now, so I’m used to it,” Lopez said.
To become Student of the Month, one must be nominated by their fellow students and teachers, then the administrators will observe the nominated students for a week and decide from there.
“I didn’t really do anything [to become Student of the month], except for giving everyone shout outs on Twitter,” Lopez said.
Those who are crowned Student of the Month gain special privileges that the rest of the school doesn’t have in order to encourage students to work hard and aim to achieve.
“I get every single privilege you can think of. I have people who walk me to class and carry me on a pedestal,” Lopez said.
Many accomplishments and events that take place during the high school experience lead students towards the title of Student of the month.
“Being the awesome person that I am, [becoming Student of the Month] just sort of set itself up,” Lopez said.
However, Student of the Month isn’t just about being recognized for great work, it also comes with many duties and responsibilities.
“[A specific duty that I have as Student of the Month is to] try not to kill people, Lopez said.
While Student of the Month is a big responsibility and requires lots of dedication towards school, it definitely pays off in the end.

“You’re a do-gooder and then you get stuff,” Lopez said.

architecture shoot preview 2

details

While this shot isn't extremely close up, it actually is when compared to the entirety of the building. From this near perspective, we can see the panels that cover the outside of the whole building and take in their detail.

light

This photo uses natural light to emphasize the dreamy and also very astonishing architecture of the building. It ads a sort of dramatic effect and really draws your attention.

patterns

by capturing the repetitiveness of the seats in the arena, it adds more interest in the photo. the lines will draw people eyes in and it will also make the picture appear more intriguing.

angles and shapes

different and uncommon shapes on buildings automatically make them more interesting to look at. emphasizing shapes and experimenting angles provides for a better picture.

capturing a building in it's environment, such as this one, gives character to the building and helps define it. the natural centre of performing arts sticks out from it's surroundings since it's very classy as opposed to the houses around it.

architecture preview

Eden Project

1. architect: Nicholas Grimshaw
2. completed may 2000
3. location: St Blazey, Cornwall, UK
4. you may visit it
5. no
6. it was inspired by J. Bladwin's Pillow Dome
7. I picked this building mainly because it looked like something out of a fairy tale. At night when it's all lit up, it looks beautiful and just sort of magical. It also sort of reminds me of the Teletubbies home with the dome and all.

National Centre for the Performing Arts

1. architect: Paul Andreu
2. construction began December 2001 and was completed July 2007
3. located in Beijing, China
4. you may visit it
5. cost more than 3.2 billion to build
6. it's used as an opera hall, a music hall, and a theatre hall
7. i picked this building because the pictures were really intriguing. the way the building reflects off of the water and displays the sky/sunsets is gorgeous, and it just looks so cool. the reflecting elements make the building look like it's a sphere.

Nautilus House

1. architect Javier Senosiain
2. built in 2006
3. located near Mexico City
4. i think people are allowed to visit, but a family lives here
5. no
6. the family were tired of living in a conventional home and wanted one integrated to nature
7. i picked this building mainly because i want to live here. it's so cute and pretty, and the architecture is beautiful as well as its incorporation with nature.

Krzywy Domek (The Crooked House)

1. architects: Szotynscy and Zaleski

3. located in the Rezydent shopping center in Poland
4. you may visit it
5. nope
6. the building was inspired by the fairytale illustrations and drawings of Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg
7. The building itself looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss novel. I think the way it was shaped is really interesting. The overall creation is just really cool because the building looks like it will collapse in on itself at any second.

action shoot

action coming directly at the camera

Freshman Natalie Trujillo leaps over a fallen hurdle resting on the well-kept grass of Bowie's football field. Trujillo decided to explore the campus and ended up jumping sideways hurdles.

action moving across the plane of the camera at a 90 degree angle

Natalie Trujillo, a freshman at Bowie High School hops across a pack of tires. Trujillo noticed the tires and wondered if she could jump over them. Spoiler alert: she could…barely.

panning

Student Natalie Trujillo sprints down Bowie's track during second period. Trujillo posed as the subject of my photos for our action assignment in photojournalism.

creative blur
(i couldn't decide if i like the color or black and white photo better, so i just did both since i thought they looked cool)

Freshman Natalie Trujillo rolls on a barrel during the action photo shoot. After she had already ran across them, Trujillo decided she wasted to try rolling on top of one, which is exactly what she did.
